Welding Sales Engineer --
Description: Centennial, Inc. has been retained to recruit for a Welding Sales Engineer for one of our highly valued clients located in the greater CincinnatiNorthern Kentucky area. In this role, the successful candidate will represent this industry’s global leader and be responsible for visiting and developing relationships with large industrial companies, end-users and OEMs, tailoring solutions to solve customers’ specific problems; focus on value and service life, and the ability to reduce customers’ maintenance costs by providing superior technical performance to combat industrial wear and welding problems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow sales revenue
- Establish, maintain and enhance customer relationships
- Proposal writing/preparation and contract negotiation as dictated by the sales process
- Provide on-going technical training and support to clients regarding company’s products and applications
- Work directly with customers in generating specifications according to client-defined applications, including creating innovative consumable/service/equipment offerings
- Assist in the development of new wire formulas for a particular application
- Communicate with internal manufacturing group regarding specific customer requirements and specifications
- Stay attuned to marketing's short and long range plans regarding product lines that directly impact the organization’s business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or related field and 0-5 years work experience post-graduation
- Strong and demonstrated full technical knowledge of the welding industry; must be hands-on and capable of demonstrating cored welding wire
- Sales experience desirable, sales 'personality' vital
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with key contacts and decision makers to build long-term relationships
- Must be good and clear at communicating to people at all levels, from the shop floor, to the maintenance manager, to senior management
- Mechanically-minded
- Highly committed to the success of the organization as well as the clients
- Extensive travel required; this includes travel to Europe for training
- Desire to succeed in a thriving organization that offers excellent opportunities for highly committed self-starters
Highly rewarding total compensation including generous base pay and performance-based commission, with second year earnings potential for dedicated and highly motivated professionals in the $100k range. A car will be provided for work as well as top-tier health insurance and 401K plan. Relocation assistance available.
